DVD AND CD-ROM PRODUCTION

KLA provides a comprehensive DVD and CD-ROM  production service.

DVD Production

KLA offers a two-tier DVD production service - 'Basic' and 'Authored'.

Basic Service

The Basic Service consists of a simple transfer-to-DVD service whereby material from a variety of sources (eg VHS or Mini DV tape etc.) is copied directly to DVD. This produces a DVD with a standard menu consisting of one or more clips depending on the number of clips recorded onto the DVD. Each menu item can be individually titled once the material is recorded onto the DVD. Extra copies of the 'master' DVD can then be made. Authored Service

Employing Adobe Encore DVD authoring software the Authored Service enables DVD design to the client's specification providing anything from a simple customised screen with just a few menu options to sophisticated menu navigation with all the features associated with professional TV or cinema productions. As this service is so wide-ranging it is not possible to quote a standard cost. However the cheapest authored option (eg a 15 minute movie requiring a single customised menu screen and 'play' button) would typically cost around £100.00 to produce onto a single DVD, though extra copies would only cost the same as for the Basic Service.

CD-ROM Production

KLA offers a two-tier CD-ROM production service - 'Basic' and 'Authored'.

Basic Service

The Basic Service consists of capturing video material to our computer, encoding it to the desired format (eg MPEG1, QuickTime etc.) and mastering it to CD-ROM. For details of our Basic Service CD-ROM costs CLICK HERE.

Employing Illuminatus Opus authoring software the Authored Service enables CD-ROM design to the client's specification providing anything from a simple customised screen with just a few menu options to sophisticated menu navigation. As this service is so wide-ranging it is not possible to quote a standard cost. However the cheapest authored option (eg a 15 minute movie requiring a single customised menu screen and 'play' button) would typically cost around £80.00 to produce onto a single CD-ROM though extra copies would only cost the same as for the Basic Service.
