Swanrose video training courses have gained an international reputation since Swanrose started running courses at their Lancashire base in 1993. KLA now owns Swanrose and the Swanrose web site can be found at:

Overview

We have been delivering Swanrose courses in north London, initially as a franchise and subsequently under licence, since 1999. We assumed ownership of Swanrose in Spring 2007.

Our students fall into four main categories:

·          Video Enthusiasts

·          Video Professionals

·          Business*

·          Education

* corporate/charity clients include: Unilever BestFoods, Dectel Securities, Impact Marcom, MoD, Sveriges Radio, MIND, Siemens, Universal Pictures, National Childminding Association, Maynard Leigh Associates, Clifford Chance LLP, NHS, Foresters, Shepherds Bush Housing Association and The Donkey Sanctuary

Our teaching methods consist of structured step-by-step learning points and notes plus Personal Tutor support following the course. Each ‘learning point' is first explained to students and then demonstrated practically. To ensure that students have understood, we then ask them to carry out a practical exercise related to that specific learning point. Progress is then evaluated before we move on to the next learning point.

We naturally expect students to practise their new skills in order to consolidate the teaching. However, if they feel that the course has not worked for them then we will offer further tuition free of charge.

Course Delivery

Our north London training centre is situated in a residential area with no parking restrictions. Additionally we can provide training at customer premises.

Our courses are delivered by Swanrose-qualified tutors (one tutor for computer-related courses and two tutors for filming skills/documentary video-making). Computer courses are normally delivered on a one-to-one basis but can be delivered to a maximum of two students (booking together) at a time on one computer. Other courses are delivered to a maximum of four students.

Lunch and refreshments are included in the course cost.
